Our classes are popular and are often fully booked.
When your child signs up to a membership they are then booked into their class of choice (most suitable to their skill level and age). While the membership is live, they have a guaranteed space in this class every week.
Membership is the only way to confirm a space every week in our classes.
Memberships are paid once month in advance of the month the classes are taken . Payments are on either the 1 or 15 for the following month.
Overdue payments may mean your childs space in class is not guaranteed.
Our classes are very well structured.
All our instructors follow lesson plans that are similar but also sensitive to the age and level of students in class.
The instructors follow a syllabus so students learn at a progressive pace. Classes include games to aid a number of things from strength to warming up, from inspiring creativity to just building friendships and having fun in the space.
We also include instruction in the equipment of how to perfect and achieve moves and tricks as well as combinations and routines built from the tricks we have learnt.
We often inspire creativity and assist students to create their own shapes and routines in the equipment.
All our classes run in terms and during our terms we focus on various skills this includes, technique, creativity, performance, strength and flexibility.
We include a routine each term to a set song which promotes fun and will summarise all the skills learnt in the term.
We also include an end of term show and tell where parents are invited to come and see what the students have learnt over a preriod of time. These are held before Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
We recommend your child brings water to lessons and warm clothes for warm up.
For pole lessons, shorts and bare arms are recommended, and these work best when warm so keep them under warm clothes until it is time to dance.
If your child is doing aerials, we recommend leggings, leotard / T shirt under warm clothes for warm up.
All hair must be tied back, to stay safe and out of the way of equipment.
Please ensure your child removes all rings, watches, bracelets and necklaces before class.
Yes, we are a friendly studio and we love to see you. We have a comfy waiting area where you are more than welcome to wait while your child trains.
We find that children concentrate best when their parents are not watching.
We do often have our door open to our studio but please enjoy our waiting area and hearing the children having fun. They do love to have your approval and for you to watch them, this is why we run “showtime and tell week”.
At the end of our terms we run “showtime & Tell” week these are a week where we invite parents and carers into the last 15 mins of class to watch their child perform routines / sequences they have been working on in lessons.
You can also ask any questions of your instructor, take pictures or videos of them on equipment to share and cherish. We let you know in advance of these dates.
They are run the week before we break for Easter / Summer and Christmas.
Yes we are a sociable business and love to stay in touch online and in person.
We are busy on Instagram and Facebook. Please go give us a follow so you can see our stories, reels and posts of what we are doing in classes and what is coming up.
Our socials are below. We would love to see you online.
For safeguarding reasons you are not permitted to take any photos of your child in classes.
Mobile phones are not permitted in the studio during kids classes.
However, we have WhatsApp group for each lesson where we post updates, can answer specific questions, post videos & images from your child’s class.
We know there are so many Whatsapps in your life but it really is the most responsive way to keep up to date with everything at Blush! It is also a way of seeing what your child does in class.
Please be respectful that the images we post are only for your own personal use. Please do not post or share images of other children.
Photos and videos from classes will only be shared in closed class Whatsapp groups if you have specified that you do not give blush permission to share images of your child. If you have not specified no photos for your child when registering your child online for classes, we have permission to share images and videos of your child in class on our social channels.
Yes we do!
Through the year we organise additional opportunities to explore lots of possibilities with aerial.
These include intensives, workshops, photoshoots, showcases & holiday camps.
These are open to students and none-students at Blush and offer enrichment activities, levelling up of skills and social opportunities for your child.
All levels are welcome to book and attend these. We advertise them on our socials and at the studio. You can find out more on our Holiday Camps page.
YES! It is the biggest event of the year!
We run this at the New Adelphi Theatre in Salford. A stunning theatre that we have been resident at for our showcase for the past 3 years.
Our very first kids show was in 2016. Students are encouraged but by no means obligated to perform.
Applications to perform are released in April/May each year.
All students who apply will get on stage. There is no specific level needed to perform. Rehearsals start Sept and the shows are end of Jan/beg of Feb. You can see our videos on our previous shows here.
Yes we have a non compulsory uniform to promote a sense of community, team ethic and helps the children focus.
Details of our uniform and team merch and how to order cna be seen on our Uniform Guidance page.
Yes of course we do. We take this very seriously and you can view our safeguarding policy here.
We know traffic can sometimes be against us and you may have to navigate a time machine to get your child(red) on time to their respective social events and lessons every week (super parents that we are).
However we also have to ensure our instructors are paid for their time.
If you are late to collect your child, please message asap in the relevant class whatsapp group so the instructor can deal with this immediately.
As our studio does not always have follow on classes or reception staff working, if a child is left waiting longer than 15 minutes after class to be collected we have to ask our staff to stay on to look after the child and they automatically work extra hours to ensure the child is safe. This will mean the cost of the team members time will be passed onto you at a rate of £15 per hour.
We work on the principle that your child’s place is booked and pre-paid in classes every week through prompt payment of memberships. This way we do not over book lessons, we run lessons that follow on logically to help students progress seamlessly and become familiar, and friendly with their instructor and fellow students.
We understand classes can’t always be attended and we prefer our children to attend rather than not, therefore catch up lesson are sometimes possible and are offered when:
Catch up classes are subject to availability, when our classes are full we do not have space for catch up students unless another student has marked themselves as “not attending”.
An arranged catch up lesson cannot be rearranged.
Classes where the child has not shown up or notice was given with less than 24 hours notice or not given in the manner listed above, are forfeited.
Please email kidsandjuniors@blushdance.com with your request to cancel.
There is a minimum term of 30 days notice for any cancellations.
Class fees are due up until the date of cancellation.
